Of Mice & Men releases new single “Indigo” and promises a “nostalgic” album.

The new album 'Tether' will be released on October 6th.

The metalcore band Of Mice & Men recently released the new song “Indigo”, along with a visualizer.

“Indigo,” according to bassist and vocalist Aaron Pauley, is about “questioning why the sky would choose to be blue if it had a chance to be any other color – ‘blue’ being a metaphor for ‘sad.’ It’s about offering comfort to a loved one in a time of loss by telling them that you feel sad too.”

The single is part of Of Mice & Men's new studio album, Tether , which will be released on October 6th.

In a recent interview with The Punk Rock MBA , Aaron Pauley commented that the album's sonic direction evokes a somewhat "nostalgic" feeling and is a compilation of the band's already well-known "best qualities." "I think [the album] presents a unique challenge: how can we offer the audience something new, but with familiar flavors and a familiar history?" he remarks.

Aaron also commented that Tether gets "super heavy" at times and that, of all the Of Mice & Men albums, the one that comes closest to the new work is Restoring Force (2014) .
