Canadian death metal band Obvurt performed one of their first shows since the start of the pandemic for a very unusual audience: children from the primary school where guitarist Philippe Drouin is a music teacher.
According to Drouin, the idea came from the school principal and the physical education teacher, who were planning a party to celebrate the end of the school year. "He knew about the release of The Beginning on March 31st and thought of bringing the album to the schoolyard," the guitarist recounts.
Drouin admitted that he found the idea a bit strange at first, but his insecurity proved unfounded because the children loved it. In the 23-minute video, you can see the young students jumping and having fun to the heavy sound of Obvurt. Check out the result:
