The iconic British band Oasis revealed last Thursday, the 13th, that they will produce a film alongside their highly anticipated reunion tour. According to Variety , the project will be written and produced by Steven Knight , creator of Peaky Blinders and Locke Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace , responsible for the documentary Meet Me in the Bathroom will direct .
Details about the format of the feature film have not yet been released, but the directors' previous work suggests that it may blend elements of documentary and live concert. This is similar to the style adopted in Shut Up and Play the Hits , which portrayed LCD Soundsystem .
Magna Studios will develop the Oasis film with Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley producing. Marisa Clifford and Kate Shepherd will serve as executive producers. Global distribution will be handled by Sony Music Vision . The project does not yet have a release date.
Meanwhile, Oasis' tour kicks off on July 4th in Cardiff, Wales. It will take them across several continents, including Europe, North America, Asia, Oceania, and South America.
Brazilian fans will be able to see the band on November 22nd and 23rd at Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo.
