A fan died after falling from the stands during an Oasis at Wembley Stadium last Saturday night, the 2nd. The man was sitting in the upper stands of the stadium, which has a capacity of 90,000 people.

According to NME , the Metropolitan Police confirmed that "police officers and paramedics arrived at 10:19 pm to respond to reports that a person had suffered injuries at the end of the band's show."

The police announced in a statement:

“A man, approximately 40 years old, was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The stadium was crowded, and we believe several people likely witnessed the incident or, consciously or unconsciously, recorded it on video with their cell phones.” Police also asked that anyone with information about the incident come forward.

In a statement to Sky News , brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher said the day after the tragedy that the band was "shocked" by the news of the death. "We are shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic death of a fan at last night's show. We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."

During the show on the 3rd, last Sunday, Liam said: “This is for everyone who couldn’t be here tonight, but who are here, if you know what I mean, and how beautiful they look. Live forever.”

A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium added: “Our thoughts are with his family, who have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained police officers.”

Sunday's performance concluded a five-night run in London, with two more shows scheduled for September.

Oasis in Brazil

Next, Oasis will embark on a five-night tour at Heaton Park in Manchester, followed by seven shows at Wembley Stadium in London. The brothers will also perform in Edinburgh and Dublin. Oasis will then head to North America, South America, Australia, South Korea, and Japan.

The band will perform in São Paulo, at the Morumbi Stadium, on November 22nd and 23rd. The shows in Brazil will conclude Oasis' return to the stage.

Tickets for the 22nd are sold out, but some sections for the 23rd still have tickets available on the Ticketmaster website .

The tour marks the group's reunion after 15 years apart. In announcing their return, the group posted the following message on their social media:

The guns have fallen silent. / The stars have aligned. / The great wait is over. / Come see. / It will not be televised.
