David Ellefson has news about the progress of the new Megadeth Dave Mustaine 's cancer recovery .
In an interview with Loudwire , Ellefson detailed the recording stages of the new album and the sense of accomplishment that came from the recordings, “ Dirk [Verbeuren] and I laid down drums and bass on the new Megadeth album. Banging on things. There are moments where there are very progressive things. I can't say too much about it because it's still a work in progress, but I definitely left the studio thinking, 'Job well done.'”
“For me, that’s really inspiring, when you create things like: ‘We’ve created another new path that we haven’t explored yet. I don’t think anyone else has explored it.’ I think that’s probably one of the most satisfying things to accomplish. We’re still rocking it,” says the bassist.
Ellefson also recounts that, upon learning of Mustaine's health condition, the band put all plans for the new album on hold; however, he occasionally noticed activity in the band's Dropbox files, leading David to conclude, "Yes, nothing will bring Dave down. He'll keep working."
