The band Northrya , has just released their first single, "The Black Sky," bringing an independent sound with the power of melodic heavy metal.
The group emerged in 2019 in Manaus with the goal of putting Amazonas back on the national and international music scene, drawing strong influences from bands such as Stratovarius , Kamelot , Angra , Sonata Arctica , Avantasia , Helloween , DragonForce , and Glory Opera .
The single “The Black Sky” is the first song from the project, which is itself a critique of humanity's insatiable greed and the destructive force of this unbridled need for power.
The title is an analogy to the ashes and smoke that cover the skies and obscure the sun's brightness, like a curtain of darkness, hence the name "the black sky," in a free translation.
