Noora Louhimo joined Battle Beast in 2012
In an interview with Mic Studios , Noora Louhimo , vocalist of the Finnish band Battle Beast, spoke about what it was like to join the band.
“It was in 2012. They actually found me through YouTube, when I wasn’t in a band. I used to sing acoustic shows […]. They saw a video of me singing Janis Joplin . And Janis Joplin is my all-time favorite female singer, so when they saw that video, they asked me if I wanted to join the band. So I joined because when I heard the band, I actually only knew the band’s music two weeks before that call and I loved it. I really loved it. When we spoke on the phone, I had just joined and they said to me, ‘We have a little more Sonata Arctica. We need someone to sing the songs with us. Please, can you help us?’ I was like, ‘Okay, why not?’ I really don’t feel like I’m stuck. From the first show, I felt like I was born to do this. I felt from the first show that this is what I was born to do.”
Bringer Of Pain, the latest album from Battle Beast, was released in 2017 by Nuclear Blast.
