In November, Down 's NOLA will be re-released on CD in Brazil, in a special edition with a slipcase. Originally released in 1995, the album was the debut of the group, formed by Phil Anselmo ( Pantera ), Pepper Keenan ( Corrosion of Conformity ), Jimmy Bower ( Crowbar ), Kirk Weidstein ( Crowbar ) and Todd Strange ( Crowbar ). An abbreviation of New Orleans, Louisiana, NOLA incorporates influences from southern metal and stoner rock.
The re-release is part of a partnership between Wikimetal and OPorto da Música, which is bringing to the Brazilian market several classic rock and heavy metal titles that were not previously available, and even some that had never been released in the country.
Albums from bands like Metal Church, Overkill, Ratt , and many more have already been released, with more expected to arrive in stores each month. The album will soon be available in major stores in a special edition with a slipcase. Online pre-orders are already available via Wikimetal Store .
