Noel Gallagher was not happy with the choice of Guns N' Roses as the headliner for the British Glastonbury festival.
According to Loudersound , the former Oasis member complained about the curatorial decision directly to the British newspaper Daily Star , claiming that the choice bordered on insanity.
“I thought, ‘What? Is this for real? This is crazy.’ When you think about all the great British artists who have released albums recently, having Guns N’ Roses headlining on Saturday is insane.”
Noel Gallagher himself will not be performing at the Glastonbury festival this year, but he was one of the headliners for 2022. Noel's contract was initially for a performance in 2020, but the festival was postponed due to the pandemic.
Recently, rumors have surfaced about a possible Oasis reunion. It all started with a comment made by Liam Gallagher , who promised to bring the band back if Manchester City won the Champions League, which ended up happening.
Even before Manchester's victory, The Sun published an article claiming that Wasserman Music, Liam Gallagher's agency, was planning four shows for 2025. The supposed shows would take place in Knebworth, England, where the band played two major concerts in 1996. This would be Oasis' first performance since 2009.
Apparently, however, nothing has changed in the strained relationship between the Gallagher brothers, who continue to attack each other online and in interviews. To date, no Oasis reunion has been officially confirmed.
