Oasis founder Noel Gallagher spoke about the current state of music and the political landscape in an interview with the YouTube channel "Sound Bites".
"I think it's easy for guys to pick up guitars these days and sing about what's happening in the news. I just don't understand what the point is. I think making music full of joy and hope these days is almost revolutionary.".
Noel continues: “I think rock ended up becoming a thing of ranting, like Dave Grohl, or Green Day, or the guy from Queens of the Stone Age. You know what they're ranting about? News… Who wants to make music about news?”
News is boring. Donald Trump is incredibly boring. Politicians are boring. The chubby guy from North Korea, he seems funny, but he's incredibly boring.
