Last Sunday, the 25th, Foo Fighters performed at the Reading Festival, and there vocalist Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins Oasis reunite and jokingly suggested creating a petition to make it happen.
Many people disliked the idea, and Noel Gallagher was one of them. The former Oasis member, of course, didn't stay quiet and responded with his own request: a petition to end the Foo Fighters. The controversial and comical statement was made during a show last Wednesday, the 28th, in San Diego.
“Is anyone out there going to sign Dave Grohl’s petition for us to reunite?” he asked the audience. “Because I’d like to start a petition for the Foo Fighters to break up,” the Brit suggested.
The call for a reunion comes on an important date for Oasis. Exactly 25 years ago, on August 29, 1994, the band released Definitely Maybe , their debut album, which will receive a special remastered edition.
