Noturnall kicked off work on their new album with the single “Reset The Game,” released on all streaming platforms last Wednesday, the 20th.
The song is the first track released from the album Cosmic Redemption , scheduled for release in the second half of 2022, and features powerful lyrics with a brutal critique – in both words and sound – of the system that governs life in society, comparing the masses to rats running on wheels within a game controlled by something greater, still far from embracing changes capable of leading humanity to something superior.
"So, this is my destiny? / Chasing after roles that someone invented / That's why I don't understand / Before time began, our roles were clear / I know the system was set up for us to work… / To work like slaves and die," says an excerpt.
According to vocalist Thiago Bianchi , the song expresses the band's feeling of freedom upon returning to the stage "after so long imprisoned in a cage" during the pandemic.
Starting next week, the band begins a national tour alongside Shaman ; see dates and locations here . Nortunall is also a confirmed act on the Rock District stage at Rock In Rio , on Metal Day.
