Nita Strauss will undergo meniscus surgery in December

The guitarist will be away from the stage for a month

Nita Strauss will need to undergo surgery for a torn meniscus. The procedure will take place at the end of December, seven months after she was injured while on tour with Alice Cooper .

In a video posted on Instagram , Strauss commented on the situation: “I have a little knee update for those who are asking. I had my pre-op last week and unfortunately it didn’t go exactly as I expected. According to my doctor, eight months of performing with a torn meniscus hasn’t helped me at all. The injury hasn’t improved; unfortunately, it’s gotten worse. So the surgery had to be postponed until the end of the year – after Christmas, after the last Rams game – and then it will be a whole month before I can do anything again. So, no shows, no performances, nothing. I’m super disappointed about this, I expected to be recovering by now. But it is what it is” (via Blabbermouth.Net ).

Twisting your knee and putting all your body weight on it is quite common, especially for those who have been on the road for years. It turns out that Demi Lovato has been dealing with this injury since May and has already had two cortisone injections to relieve the pain during shows.

Nita had been Cooper's guitarist since 2014, when she joined Mötley Crüe . However, in July, she made her debut alongside Demi Lovato. In addition to the singles " Dead Inside " and " Summer Storm The Wolf You Feed last month .
