Nita Strauss got a fright while playing at an Alice Cooper last Thursday night, the 7th. The guitarist was hit on the head by a piece of the cane that Cooper was carrying on stage as part of his performance.
During the first song of the show, "Feed My Frankenstein," Alice Cooper can be seen hitting his cane on the floor when a piece ricochets and hits Nita squarely on the head. In a video recorded by someone in the audience, it's possible to see the guitarist move away from the front of the stage for a few moments and then resume her performance.
Later, Nita Strauss reassured fans by making a humorous post on her Instagram containing a photo of herself and Alice Cooper along with a video of the accident. In the caption, she wrote: “When I joined Alice Cooper in 2014, he promised me the same thing he promises all the band members: 'You’ll see the world, you’ll get paid, and you’ll get some stitches.' He didn’t mention the part about 'oh, and you might get hit in the head by flying pieces of a broken cane during the first song.'”
