Last Sunday, the 5th, guitarist Nita Strauss shared an image on social media celebrating that she has been sober for six years.
The image, which you can see below, shows the exact time she has been sober: 6 years, 72 months, 2,193 days, or 52,608 hours. In the caption, she wrote "Gratitude.".
When Nita celebrated five years of sobriety , she thanked her longtime boyfriend and manager Josh Villalta , saying he was a big part of the reason she continued her life without alcohol. She revealed at the time that she used alcohol to “feel confident on stage, to be sociable at after-show parties, to celebrate, for sad moments, for everything.”
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings was a great help in maintaining her sobriety. Now, she says she is happy with the life she leads and feels grateful for not needing alcohol.
Nita Strauss Alice Cooper 's band since 2014, when she joined to replace Orianthi , former guitarist for Michael Jackson . Strauss's first solo album, Controlled Chaos , was released in November 2018.
