Previously unseen footage from Nirvana , which took place on February 17, 1990, at Iguanas in Tijuana, Mexico, has gone up for auction.

The original, previously unreleased video and audio of the show are up for auction at Bonhams , and could fetch between US$100,000 and US$150,000 (R$527,000 and R$792,000 at the current exchange rate). The Unplugged & Unforgettable: Music ends this Thursday, the 24th.

The original recordings are on two original Sony Video 8 master tapes, with the video footage of the show lasting just over 45 minutes. The performance shows Nirvana in their early days promoting their debut album Bleach . In this particular show, the band played 13 songs, and vocalist Kurt Cobain smashed two guitars.

Besides the two VHS tapes, with stickers bearing the words 'NIRVANA IE NIRVANA II', handwritten in red ink, there are also two cassette tapes, with labels bearing the words 'ORIGINAL MASTER CAMERA-A' and 'CAMERA B' written in black felt-tip pen.

Bonhams auction site , also included are two Sony mini DV tapes with digital transfers of the complete raw footage from the Video 8 tapes, a portable SSD hard drive containing the “complete and digitized raw footage, the professionally edited version of the show, the edited version of the show with a security watermark, and some photos taken from the video files.” In addition, there is a Certificate of Registration from the U.S. Copyright Office for the cinematographic content.

Whoever wins the auction will also receive an original Nirvana tour poster from a show at Raji's nightclub on February 15, 1990, as well as an original first pressing of the album Bleach on white vinyl from Sub Pop, limited to 1,000 copies.
