Nirvana tribute band Seattle Supersonics will perform in Brazil in October.

The performance features the Villa Lobos Symphony Orchestra

One of the most unusual musical collaborations will take place this year here in Brazil! Can you imagine putting vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain , bassist Krist Novoselic , and drummer Dave Grohl together playing with an orchestra?

This is something unprecedented worldwide and will be seen here in Brazil through the Tribute of Nirvana with Seattle Supersonics and the Villa Lobos Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Adriano Machado . There will be 15 performances in major cities across the country between September and October 2023. Check all the dates and where to buy tickets by clicking here .

Nirvana tribute band, recognized in over 20 countries, is Seattle Supersonics , formed in Buenos Aires in 2010. Ezequiel Dias, Estevan Molina, and Christian Monteiro are coming to the country to break paradigms and show that grunge can indeed be complemented by melodic lines from violins, cellos, and wind instruments. Essentially, it will be a mega-tour featuring a raw and direct rock and roll show accompanied by an orchestra.

This is a project that deserves the full attention of fans of good music, regardless of genre, as it will be a rather picturesque and pleasing mix to the ears. The entire show will be based on the original versions of Nirvana's albums, and conductor Adriano Machado will create arrangements for the Symphony Orchestra based on them.

It will be two hours of pure rock 'n' roll paying tribute to Nirvana, playing their greatest hits. The setlist will include: “In Bloom”, “Drain You”, “About a Girl”, “Love Buzz”, “Floyd The Barber”, “Molly Lips”, “School”, “Aneurysm”, “Territorial Pissings”, among others. Of course, “Smells Like Teen Spirit”  will also be on the setlist. After the performances, Seattle Supersonics will head off on a tour of Europe and the United States.
