REM also commented on the news of the 2008 fire
The New York Times published an article yesterday about the Universal Studios fire in 2008. It was revealed that bands like Nirvana , R.E.M. , and other artists had equipment burned in the fire.
Several of the artists said they only learned about the incident from the NYT article. Now, REM and Nirvana Krist Novoselic
R.E.M. announced via Twitter that they were seeking information on how the band had been affected.
Krist Novoselic has confirmed that the master tapes of the classic Nevermind were destroyed. "I think they're gone forever," he said.
