Last Friday, the 27th, Nirvana released the 30th anniversary edition of In Utero (1993) .
The re-release of the album arrives on digital platforms with remastered versions of all the original songs and 53 live tracks, recorded during historic performances throughout Nirvana's career.
Among the new tracks are five bonus tracks and B-sides that were salvaged from the original analog stereo tapes. According to bassist Krist Novoselic , the live audio was recovered with the help of Artificial Intelligence (via Radio Rock ):
“I’m excited about the live shows because they used AI. We took the digital audio tapes from the soundboard in Rome, Seattle, and Los Angeles, then the AI was able to separate all the instruments, and we did a really good mix of that,” he commented.
