The Voice has featured incredible contestants singing rock classics, from AC/DC to Queen , but one participant in the French edition of the competition chose a rather bizarre way to perform Nirvana .
Possessing a deep, raspy voice, contestant Stephen Di Tordo confused the judges when he arrived on stage and said something very similar to "Let's fuck".
Next, the singer continued with his own arrangement of the song, at times flirting with country, in a minimalist performance in which he used his voice in a theatrical way (not to compare some of the sounds produced by Di Tordo to a demon being exorcised).
The contestant advanced to the next phase with two chairs turned. In the judges' defense, the decision was made before the contestant began to overdo the vocal acrobatics, with little screams and an awkward dance that elicited nervous laughter from those who had already chosen the artist.
Finally, Di Tordo dropped the microphone and turned his back at the end of the song, showing confidence in his own performance. Watch below.
