In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Nirvana 's album In Utero Rolling Stone Music Now podcast invited biographer Michael Azerrad to listen to tracks from the album and share interesting facts about Nirvana alongside host Brian Hiatt .

During the conversation, Azerrad recounts that Kurt Cobain liked to call Dave Grohl "the most organized kid I know." Although it was a joke for Cobain, the biographer believes it was a sign of envy the vocalist had for Grohl.

“I think Kurt was partly mocking Dave for being quite organized and normal. He’s a popular guy who has everything organized, he really is. And I think Kurt was partly mocking that because he wasn’t a weirdo like Kurt. And he was also envious. I think Kurt was a little envious of Dave because Dave’s life wasn’t a mess.”

On October 24th, Azerrad will release the book The Amplified Come As You Are , which has been announced as an expanded version of his classic 1993 book, Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana.

The special program also featured the group's manager, Danny Goldberg , author of the book Serving the Servant: Remembering Kurt Cobain , and Jim Merlis , who worked with the group between 1993 and 1994, sharing some memories.
