During the 50th anniversary special of the television program Saturday Night Live (SNL), Post Malone took to the stage alongside the remaining members of Nirvana : Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic , and Pat Smear .
Amidst the gaze and euphoria of an audience composed of Hollywood stars, actor Adam Sandler was responsible for introducing the quartet, calling them " Post Nirvana ".

The relationship between Post Malone and Nirvana
Malone is an avowed fan of the band. In 2020, during the pandemic, the musician did a livestream tribute to the Seattle trio .
The covers were recorded with guest appearances by Travis Barker , drummer of blink-182 , Brian Lee (bass) and Nick Mac (guitar).
Album in tribute to Nirvana
Scheduled for April, the album featuring live cover songs will be officially released on vinyl on Record Store Day this year.
All profits generated through this project will be donated to MusiCares, an institute that assists in the mental health recovery and substance abuse of musicians.
