The life of a rock star can be full of glamorous situations, sometimes even dark moments, but it's certainly full of unusual scenarios. And Nirvana had one of those unexpected moments in a new memory revealed by David McLean Placebo 's manager and a rock concert promoter.

According to McLean, in 1991, after Nottingham Rock City , the band and the famous male stripper group Chippendales were at the same hotel bar when, for no apparent reason, Nirvana's manager asked if the dancers would accept a game of five-a-side , and the rest is history.

“So Nirvana played a five-a-side game against the Chippendales in the parking lot. Kurt [Cobain] was in great shape and Dave [Grohl] was stiff. I don’t remember who won…”, says David, who also recalled details about the members of the legendary band. “Everyone says Dave is the nicest guy in rock. Kurt was great too. I remember his piercing blue eyes. He was such a genuine person. He put a mirror ball on the tour bus and sang 'Dancing Queen' because he loved ABBA .” Nirvana and ABBA? Who would have imagined such an incredible partnership, huh?
