It is unknown whether Nikki Sixx's trilogy includes music from Sixx:AM.
Nikki Sixx is working on a "trilogy" slated for release in 2019. The Mötley Crüe , who said last year he was "unofficially retired" from touring, posted on Instagram: "Officially starting work on a new album tomorrow as part of my 2019 trilogy project. Very excited to work with some different producers and artists to bring together the vision that has been haunting me."
On Twitter, he wrote: “I love being off the road. As an artist, we need to create new things. The reason we start playing is creation. Very excited about my trilogy project I'm working on.”
It's unclear whether the project will involve new music from Sixx:AM ., which went on hiatus in 2017. Guitarist DJ Ashba and singer James Michael have formed a new band, Pyromantic .
When asked about it by a fan, Sixx wrote: "We have a lot of new music coming next year."
