Nikki Sixx , of Mötley Crüe , has announced a new biography titled The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx.
The bassist's new book will tell "the original story," recounting his childhood, upbringing, and the move to Los Angeles that launched his music career. "You've heard the stories of excess and depression. All the peaks and valleys that came with being a rock star and my life in one of the biggest bands in the world," he says in announcing the new release.
"This is the story you've never heard before. The story that led me to where you know me. It's a personal, intimate story of how an Idaho rancher with a dream and a desire for music, love, and fame became the notorious Nikki Sixx."
Nikki Sixx continues to say that the first 21 years of our lives are formative for who we are today, and he says that, through his new biography, he hopes to inspire people to invest in their own dreams.
The First 21: How I Became by Nikki Sixx will be released on October 19th and is already available for pre-order at this link. A Portuguese translation has not yet been announced. See the book cover below.
