Nightwish vocalist Floor Jansen has shared a studio version of her Dutch song, "De Beelden Blijven".
An English version of the song will be released soon for the documentary made in collaboration with the NGO War Child , Kinderen In Oorlog: 75 Jaar Later . The organization is responsible for providing education and psychological care for children in conflict zones around the world.
In a live stream last Friday, the 15th, Jansen commented on the song, “It was a great honor, and I can't even begin to tell you how incredible it was to see all the reactions. I think the lyrics have now been translated into 25 languages. It's fantastic to see everyone from all over the world so engaged with the song.”
“It’s War Child doing all the help, and trying to help, in this case, the children to deal with the effects of war and ensure that, or at least try to ensure that, it’s not a life sentence mentally, which is a huge challenge that I can only imagine,” said the artist.
