Nightwish performed last Friday, the 14th, at Espaço Unimed in São Paulo. The opening act was also Finnish band Beast In Black.

Extremely charismatic, the band was pure joy on stage. Not even the problem with vocalist Yannis Papadopoulos during the first song was an obstacle. In good humor, he shouted without the microphone, asking if the audience could hear him.

The whole band also showed great chemistry, with synchronized dance moves à la KISS . They greatly pleased the audience and assured them they would return to Brazil next year. The band confirmed their presence at Summer Breeze Open Air Brasil, which takes place in April 2023 in São Paulo.

Nightwish took the stage at 10:30 pm sharp, and with extremely loyal fans who had been waiting for the show for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the anticipation was palpable.

The event also featured a charity drive promoted by Dynamo Records in partnership with Honorsounds. Anyone who donated 1 kg of non-perishable food to the #RaceAgainstHunger campaign would receive a promotional version of the Decades Live DVD.

From the start, fans went wild at the first glimpse of keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen . But the real sensation was Floor Jansen . There's no arguing, the vocalist's stage presence is impressive!

Marko Hietala 's absence was felt. He announced his departure from the band in 2021, and although Troy has taken over the vocals well, that heaviness is still missing. The night ends with the two longest songs on the setlist and eagerly awaited by most of those present – “Ghost Love Score” and “The Greatest Show on Earth”.
