Nightwish will embark on a tour performing songs from throughout their career
Finnish band Nightwish has taken time off since the end of their Endless Forms Most Beautiful in 2015. The band will now embark on a nine-month tour, the Decades: World Tour 2018 , where the setlist will feature songs rarely or never played live.
The band's keyboardist and main composer, Tuomas Holopainen, said in an interview with Finland's Radio Rock that "For the last 4 months I've been immersed in Nightwish again, and I feel really happy, excited and inspired (...) So I already have six songs ready and there will be many more to come, but this year we will go on tour (...) It will take a good part of 2019 to finish the songs, rehearse and go to the studio. Then, maybe in 2020, the next album. It won't happen before then ."
The Decades: World Tour 2018 is expected to include South America, but dates have not yet been confirmed.
