According to the website Deadline , pop singer Nick Jonas , from the group Jonas Brothers , is "close to closing a deal" to play Paul Stanley in the KISS biopic .
The band's biopic, Shout It Out Loud , directed by Joseph McGinty Nichol , will go into production in early 2026, with full funding from STX .
According to Deadline, “Jonas will sing solo and will need time to train to replicate Stanley’s jet-powered vocals.” The site also reports that director Joseph McGinty Nichol is eyeing a star to play Gene Simmons .

The Kiss biopic is completely finished.
The film project has been in development for years, spearheaded by Mark Canton, Simmons, Stanley , and Doc McGhee, Kiss's longtime manager. Along with Jody Gerson and Bruce Resnikoff of Universal Music Publishing Group and Polygram Entertainment , which controls and represents Kiss's publishing and music rights.
The script for Shout It Out Loud is about Kiss's first four years and is "completely finished," according to manager Doc McGhee .

The vocalist and guitarist also said that “the script was very good. And we really waited until we felt comfortable.”
When asked which actor he would like to play him in the film, Stanley said: “And I’ll tell you one thing: for the cast to be accurate in terms of age, we’re looking for actors in their 20s. Honestly, I don’t know many actors in their 20s.”
“[…]And I’m the first to say that I’m not in the know about many of them. But as the casting process progresses, I’ll certainly be there and observing. It will be interesting to see how other people—whether it’s the casting director or the director—see who I am and who they see doing this. I think I’ll learn a lot about their perception of me through who they cast.”
