The musician was accused of sexual harassment by a student.

Nick Catanese, former guitarist for Black Label Society, pleaded guilty to sexual assault at a court hearing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Catanese, who is also an instructor at School of Rock Castle Shannon, used his Instagram account to send a picture of his penis to a 14-year-old student. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette , he also asked the girl to send photos of herself and described numerous sexual acts in the messages. After learning about the incident, the school fired him.

Upon pleading guilty, the judge sentenced him to five years of probation and prohibited him from contacting minors and accessing the internet.

The guitarist accompanied the band led by Zakk Wylde for 17 years in their live performances, participating in only three studio albums: Mafia (2005), Shot to Hell (2006) and Order of the Black (2010). He was replaced by Dario Lorina in 2014.
