Tool joins other bands who, during quarantine, are looking to use their extra time to make fans happy: by creating more music .

In an online drum and bass class held last Thursday, the 16th, by the Berklee School of Music, Tool drummer Danny Carey expressed his desire to start writing and working on songs for the band's next EP during quarantine.

“I’m hoping that during this downtime, as soon as we can, maybe we can get together – Justin [Chancelor] , me and Adam [Jones] – to maybe start creating some new Tool songs while we’re at it, maybe we can write another EP since we’re in this situation and can’t do anything else,” Carey said.

Considering that Tool took 13 years to release their last album, Fear Inoculum , in 2019, it goes without saying how much we support the idea of hearing new music so quickly, right?
