Testament's last album was released in 2016.
Eric Peterson , guitarist for Testament , confirmed to RockSverige that the band has begun the songwriting process for their new album, the successor to Brotherhood Of The Snake , released in 2016.
“It’s like the same thing we did last time,” he said. “I’m reading riffs right now and getting ideas. Some of the ideas are on my phone, some are in my Logic [recording studio software], and a lot of the ideas are in my notes.”
“That’s [assuming] we don’t do every tour that comes our way, and Chuck [Billy, vocalist] seems to be on that page,” he said. “Our plan was to finish in August 2018 and maybe go into the studio by the end of the year, to release in 2019. But, you know, Slayer announced [their farewell tour] and they want us to be a part of it. I imagine things will be pushed a little bit then, but the initial plan is to release in 2019.”
