The Sea Within's debut album will be released on June 22nd

The Sea Within is a new supergroup featuring musicians from Pain Of Salvation, The Flower Kings, Yes Symphonic, and The Aristocrats, and the band will release their self-titled double album on June 22nd via InsideOut Music.

“I think it all started to take shape in the fall of 2016 ,” explains Stolt. “I had a conversation with Thomas Waber from InsideOut Music about the idea of putting together a new band. I wanted to move in a new direction, with new collaborations. So, Thomas gave me the green light to look for musicians. The first on board was The Flower Kings bassist, Jonas Reingold. He’s a longtime bandmate and friend, and we were also very interested in involving keyboardist Tom, after hearing his synthesizer with Yes Symphonic. We’ve been fans of drummer Marco from The Aristocrats for a long time; I first heard of him 15 years ago and he’s a brilliant drummer, unique energy. So, when we discussed ideas for singers, Daniel’s name came up, he has such a wide range and a dynamic voice and we’ve worked together before.”

Later, vocalist and guitarist Casey McPherson from Flying Colors and Alpha Rev was also added to the band's lineup for live performances; he also sings on some of the album's tracks.
