Last Wednesday, Skid Row announced that their new vocalist is Swedish singer Erik Grönwall , who will replace ZP Theart .
In a statement, the band welcomed the start of a "new era" and revealed that the first single with Grönwall on vocals will be released this week. A snippet of the song was posted on Instagram .
Erik Grönwall was the vocalist for the Swedish band HEAT and in 2009 participated in the reality show Swedish Idol (the Swedish version of the famous American Idol ). Coincidentally, the audition song chosen by Grönwall was "18 And Life" by Skid Row. He not only passed to the next phase of the program but was the grand winner of the competition.
In 2021, the singer recorded a studio version of the song and wrote in the YouTube that this song was "basically the starting point of my career as an artist." Check it out:
