The band Ganggorra their new single “Gisele” last Friday, the 21st, on all digital platforms Ditto Music . The official music video will be released next Friday, the 28th.
Composed by Rodrigo Koala ( Hateen ) in partnership with producer Nando Vieira and the members of Ganggorra, the unreleased track is based on the story of a friend of the band, who, like many other young "Giseles," is searching for her own identity.
“The recording and composition of the song 'Gisele' was a completely different process from anything we had done before. The birth of the song was a very challenging and educational event. Together with Rodrigo Koala and Nando Vieira, we created this girl who, although fictional, represents an entire generation that is always searching for its own way of life. Telling this story was simply transformative for all of us,” says Pedro Marks .
“This time we spent composing alongside Rodrigo Koala was definitely an incredibly enriching experience for Ganggorra,” comments Caio Delafiori .
According to Pippo Guizardi , “composing and working with Koala is surreal, the guy is an idol for all of us, he wrote songs that will forever be part of our musical reference. And there's more to come from this partnership… stay tuned.”
“Composing with Nando and Koala was 'awesome'... this is just the beginning, there's much more to come!”, adds Gustavo Couto .
Influenced by artists such as Machine Gun Kelly , blink-182 , and Green Day , the single was produced and mixed by Nando Vieira of Family Music . Mastering took place in Los Angeles and was handled by Fili Filizzola .
The new single also marks the new visual and artistic identity of the São Paulo-based band, incorporating new references, such as pop music, into their new work.
“The music production process alongside Nando opened up new possibilities that we couldn't even see before. Furthermore, all the work developed with Family Music pointed towards a new concept and made us much more comfortable experimenting and finding ourselves as a band,” says Caio.
And Pippo adds, “A whole new world for the band. Together with Family Music , we managed to reach new sonic and conceptual heights, maintaining our Rock essence but expanding to new horizons, both musically and in our visual style and artistic approach. Nando made us feel very comfortable in the studio and directed everything with great ease and professionalism.”

Formed in 2018, the band started as a hobby for a group of high school friends who used to meet in a garage in the city of São Paulo to play music by their idols.
Inspired by hardcore, punk, grunge, and pop, and by the restlessness that has been a defining characteristic of Ganggorra's trajectory, the band soon began composing their own music.
Now, with new partnerships, the focus of Pedro Marques Pimentel (vocals and guitar), Filippo Guizardi (guitar), Gustavo Couto (bass), and Caio Delafiori Frison (drums) is to continue the movement built by their idols and, through their music, bring a little more of rock culture to new generations.
