Undo transforms Copan into a stage in the music video for "Músculo Novo do Medo" (New Muscle of Fear).

A quintet from São Paulo combines cinematic aesthetics and urban lyricism in a video directed by John Porciuncula.

Undo has just released the music video for "Músculo Novo do Medo," a track from their recently released self-titled debut album. Perched atop the curved Copan Building, a monumental icon of São Paulo architecture, the band from São Paulo transforms the concrete into a confessional stage.

Filmed in black and white, the video carries a cold, dense, and "Berlin-esque" atmosphere, evoking "fears" and urban loneliness from a contemplative perspective à la Wim Wenders . Amidst harsh shadows, subtle curves, and architectural lines that fade into the horizon of buildings, the city pulsates—almost indifferently—while the music creates emotional cracks in the scenery.

The video highlights the relationship between mind, body, and vulnerability at a time when everything seems on the verge of collapse. The song's lyrics permeate the video like a physical and mental sensation—a new, almost organic fear that manifests as constant tension, as if something imminent is always about to reveal itself against the backdrop of São Paulo, which emerges not only as a setting but as a silent, ever-moving protagonist. Viewed from the top of the Copan building, it reveals a more intimate and almost suspended inner rhythm. The aesthetic result is urban, cosmopolitan, and visceral, incredibly sophisticated and elegant.

Directed by John Porciuncula , with cinematography by Gito Fernandez , and curated by Karin Aquino , the video combines the poetic brutality of downtown São Paulo with the raw energy of post-punk, creating a film-music that vibrates between the concrete and the emotional.
