Sepultura will release a new EP in 2026. The work features four tracks recorded with the band's current lineup: Andreas Kisser on guitar, Paulo Xisto on bass, Derrick Green on vocals, and Greyson Nekrutman , who officially replaced longtime drummer Eloy Casagrande in February 2024.

In a recent interview on Mystic Talks , Andreas Kisser revealed the band's plans to release new music [transcription via Blabbermouth ]:

“We recorded four new songs with Greyson on drums. I don’t think anyone knows this, but here we go. We have four new songs and we intend to release an EP next year, just to celebrate this moment. They are original songs that we worked on. They are already recorded and everything, and we are really taking our time to see when the right moment will be to do it.”

Regarding how the new material came about, Andreas said:

“It was very spontaneous. We had a situation where we played at the 70000 Tons Of Metal [cruise in January 2025] and we were in Miami. 'We have this studio. We have some ideas. Okay, let's do this.' [Laughs] And it was great. No pressure from record labels, no deadline. The songs don't have names yet. But it's great… We did it in our own time, without rushing. There are no names. We can decide that later. We're still mixing the material — no rush. And it's great. Because of the idea of the farewell tour, we can do that too, plan something like that, or not plan something like that, plan as little as we can to really challenge ourselves artistically to work on something like that.”

In the same interview, Andreas also spoke once again about what Sepultura's last show could be like.

“The idea is to do this around October 2026 in São Paulo. A big Sepulfest-type show, a party with important bands. And as part of Sepultura's history, we would like to invite all the members who have been part of Sepultura, including the Cavalera brothers [ Max and
Iggor ], to participate in the show, play, improvise.”

He continued: “I mean, it’s totally irrelevant to discuss the past, who’s right, who’s wrong. We’ll never reach a point—we’ll have two different views on this, and that’s okay. That’s irrelevant. We’re going to improvise for the fans, for ourselves, for our families who have never seen us together. But not just for them— Jairo [ Guedz ], Eloy Casagrande , Jean Patton , and Roy Mayorga , musicians who were part of Sepultura at very specific and important moments that kept
Sepultura flowing and functioning, regardless of our problems and challenges. So I hope that happens. They will be invited. If you want to be part of this party, you’re welcome. If not, that’s okay.”

Sepultura began their farewell tour, Celebrating Life Through Death , on March 1, 2024, at Arena Hall in Belo Horizonte, and it is expected to end in 2026.
