Amy Lee , lead singer of Evanescence , stated that the band's new album should be ready early next year.
In an interview on the radio program Loudwire Nights , last Monday, the 29th, the singer revealed that they have been working on a new album for a while:
“We are really getting closer to success. We have many songs in progress and we intend to release our new album at the beginning of next year. When I say 'beginning,' I don't mean January… Beginning of 2026.”
Evanescence reached the top of Billboard 's Mainstream Rock Airplay for the first time in their career with the single "Afterlife." Amy Lee shared her happiness at seeing her band continue to achieve prominence and for them to continue doing what they do year after year. She also discussed what it took to remain a force in the male-dominated world of rock and metal.
"You just need to open that path. There isn't an easy path for me that's the same as everyone else's; I have to forge my own path a little."
Before "Afterlife," Evanescence's most successful song on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart was "Call Me When You're Sober," which reached number five in 2006, and "Bring Me to Life," a number 11 hit in May 2003.
