New documentary about the Beatles denies Yoko Ono's role in the band's breakup.

'The Beatles: Get Back' shows another side of the narrative of Yoko Ono being responsible for the band's breakup

Yoko Ono 's role in the end of the Beatles . Now, a new narrative is emerging after the release of the documentary The Beatles: Get Back.

Available in three episodes on Disney+ , the series directed by Peter Jackson revisits the tumultuous recording sessions of Let It Be (1970), the band's last album. Recordings from that time, which had been stored away for 50 years, were retrieved to tell the story of the recording sessions.

Despite all the problems that arose during the recordings, Yoko Ono was always there. For many fans, John Lennon interfered in matters related to the band, however, the documentary showed another side of Yoko.

Yoko witnessed the recording but offered little input, as noted in a Los Angeles Times . Their assessment is justified by the fact that Yoko appears in the documentary engrossed in her own activities while Lennon was with the band. This contradicts rumors about her possible interference in the group's dynamics, which supposedly led to the Beatles' breakup in 1969.

On the other hand, during the recordings depicted in the documentary, Paul McCartney acknowledges that when Yoko Ono was in the studio, it was more difficult to talk to his colleague Lennon. He says that the distance between the two creative leaders of the group may have caused many of the disagreements they had.
