The band Crypta recently announced the departure of guitarist Jéssica Di Falchi . Jéssica joined the band in 2022, replacing Dutch guitarist Sonia Anubis (currently in Cobra Spell ). The reasons for Jéssica's departure have not yet been disclosed.
Formed by Fernanda Lira (bass and vocals), Tainá Bergamaschi (guitar) and Luana Dametto (drums), Crypta announced Jéssica's departure through a statement published on the band's official Instagram page. In the text, Jéssica thanked the band for their trust in her work and for the opportunity to be part of their history. During her time with Crypta, Jéssica recorded the band's second album, titled Shades of Sorrow .
In response to a fan on Instagram, Fernanda Lira stated that the band will maintain its lineup as a quartet and will not continue as a trio. She also emphasized that there is no rush to choose a new guitarist, and that the process will be conducted calmly and peacefully. Before officially appointing someone to the position, the band will test different guitarists during the tour.
Crypta continues its tour of Europe
Although they haven't officially announced who will take over Jessica's position yet, Crypta continues touring Europe alongside the bands Aborted (Belgium), The Zenith's Passage (USA) , and Organectomy (New Zealand). The tour will begin on April 24th in Tilburg, Netherlands, and will include several European countries, including Germany and London.
The tour is scheduled to end on May 25th. So far, no other tours have been announced by the band.
It is likely that, in the coming weeks, Crypta will announce the name of the new guitarist who will take Jessica's place during the tour. Meanwhile, the band remains focused on the shows, keeping fan anticipation high.
