This Friday, the 25th, is full of releases and we've picked out the best ones for you! Here, you can find the first solo album from Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis , the return of Graveyard , and the new EP from Candlemass , among many other new releases.
Jonathan Davis – Black Labyrinth
Known for his work with Korn , vocalist Jonathan Davis has released his first solo album. In a press statement, Davis cited some recurring themes on the album: religion, consumerism, apathy, and the Ganzfeld experiment, a technique used in the field of parapsychology to test extrasensory perception in individuals.
“I’ve held onto this material for a long time. I’m going to steer the fans in a different direction now,” he declared, revealing that he started the project in 2007, working on the lyrics and recordings all these years during Korn’s tours.
Graveyard – Peace
The Swedish band Graveyard is back! With Peace , the group marks their return after announcing they would cease activities in September 2016. A few months later, they announced they were working on a new album.
Peace follows Innocence & Decadence, released in 2015. Listen below.
Candlemass – House Of Doom
This release is actually an EP that prepares fans for Candlemass , scheduled for release later this year.
This will be his first work since Psalms for the Dead (2012) and the EP Death Thy Lover (2016). Listen below.
Midnattsol – The Aftermath
Now with sisters Liv Kristine Espenæs and Carmen Elise Espenæs on vocals, the group Midnattsol has released their fourth studio album. The tracks “Herr Mannelig” and “The Purple Sky” have music videos that explore the new lineup.
