Offspring guitarist Kevin John Wasserman ( Noodles ) spoke with Colombian radio station Radioacktiva during the Estereo Picnic 2024 , which took place on March 21st and 22nd. According to Noodles, the band returned to the studios immediately after their Latin American tour and should finish recording sometime in April.

In a recent interview, Noodles talked about returning to the stage, technique, guitars, previous albums, and also about the new album. The new project is produced by Bob Rock , who has produced major bands such as Metallica and Aerosmith , and follows the successful Let the Times Roll , from 2021, which reached the charts in the United States.

“We get together every two months and go to the studio and work for a week or two. That’s how we like to work. And it’s always fun to hang out with Bob. He’s a cool guy. And we just talk about music, talk about ideas, what makes a great song, that kind of thing,” said Noodles.

Vocalist Dexter Holland commented that recording for the new album began in January 2023. More than a year later, the album is about to be released, but there are still few details about the new work.

The Offspring in Brazil

At the end of the interview with RadioAlive , Noodles spoke fondly about his Latino fans and his admiration for Latin culture and cuisine. The Offspring has been touring Latin America in recent weeks, visiting countries such as Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and also Brazil, with a memorable show in the rain at Lollapalooza 2024 .

The band's first visit to Brazil was in July 1997, for two shows, one in São Paulo and the other in Rio de Janeiro. After that, the Californians came to the country several times, including at Rock in Rio 2022 , to a small but enthusiastic audience, according to critics.
