Children Of Bodom's new album will be released later this year.

Finnish band Children Of Bodom are putting the finishing touches on their tenth album. The successor to I Worship Chaos , released in 2015, is being recorded at Danger Johnny Studios in Helsinki, Finland, with producer Mikko Karmila.

Vocalist and guitarist Alexi Laiho spoke in an interview with Metal Hammer about the recording process: “It’s going really well – it’s been super fast so far, so I hope everything goes well from here on out.”

“We do what we always do, we’re always very well prepared [to record], so I think this time we practiced more often, much more than we did with the last album, and that’s one of the reasons it’s going so well,” he added.

Regarding the musical direction, Laiho added: “Actually, it’s much more straightforward in terms of song structures. I Worship Chaos was also quite straightforward, but it’s more rock 'n' roll. It’s still metal and dark and all that, but I’d say it’s more rock 'n' roll.”

The band's new album will be released later this year by Nuclear Blast.
