Walk Through Exits Only is his first solo album
On July 16th, "Walk Through Exits Only," the first solo album by Phil Anselmo, frontman of Pantera and Down, will be released. The CD was recorded in New Orleans with the band The Illegals.
Phil Anselmo said that the 8 tracks on the CD are angry songs that only he could make. "I don't see anyone out there singing about the same things I sing about on this album. There are no puns or subliminal messages, it's all right there in front of you."
Anselmo also explained how the idea of making a solo album came about: “I did it out of pure necessity. Necessity and love. I needed to do this.”.
