Nevermore announces new lineup for Bangers Open Air 2026

As a warm-up for this new phase, the band released a documentary

Nevermore officially revealed this Thursday, the 12th, their new lineup and new contract with the record label Reigning Phoenix Music.

The band announced the news on social media , accompanied by images and names of the musicians who now make up the group after internal changes. The band consists of Jack Cattoi (guitar), Semir Özerkan (bass), and vocalist Berzan Önen , who join guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams . The new lineup's live debut will take place on April 1, 2026, in Istanbul, Turkey.

As a warm-up for this new phase, Nevermore released a documentary directed by Ola Englund , which followed the rehearsals held in January at Swans Neck Soundworks studio in Väderstad, Sweden. The production features striking performances of tracks such as "The River Dragon Has Come," "Engines of Hate," and "The Heart Collector," as well as showing moments from the auditions with musicians and the process that culminated in the decision to reactivate the band.

Throughout the film, Jeff Loomis and Van Williams also discuss their planned festival schedule for 2026 and detail the group's next moves, including composing a new studio album.

Nevermore will perform at Bangers Open Air 2026, which takes place on April 25th and 26th at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. Tickets are already on sale at the Clube do Ingresso website.

Formed in 1992 when vocalist Warrel Dane , bassist Jim Sheppard , and guitarist Jeff Loomis ended their previous band, Sanctuary , Nevermore gained recognition for its innovative sound and remained active until Dane's death in 2017 – although it had a brief inactive period from 2011 to 2024 after internal disagreements led to the departure of Loomis and Williams in 2011, resulting in the cancellation of scheduled tours.
