'Nevermind': Spencer Elden asks Nirvana to remove images of his genitalia from new edition.

The famous baby featured on the cover of 'Nevermind' has requested that the cover image be adjusted for the album's 30th-anniversary reissue.

Nirvana 's iconic album , Nevermind , turns 30 this Friday, October 24th, and will receive a special anniversary reissue to be released starting November 12th. However, the date celebrating the release of one of the greatest albums in music history will not pass without controversy.

Spencer Elden , now an adult, who appeared nude on the album cover as a baby, has filed a request for Nirvana and Universal to censor the image of his genitalia on the 30th-anniversary reissue. Elden recently filed a lawsuit against the band alleging sexual exploitation due to the image featured on Nevermind.

According to TMZ , Spencer's lawyer, Maggie Mabie , said it's time to "end this child exploitation and violation of privacy" and alleged that "Cobain chose the image of Spencer – as a male prostitute – placing a dollar bill dangling from a hook in front of his naked body, with his penis explicitly exposed."

The special reissue of Nevermind is expected to feature a total of 94 audio and video tracks, 70 of which are previously unreleased content, spread across a range of formats including physical and digital CDs, and vinyl records.
