Netflix announces series about Spotify's history for 2022.

The series will be fictional and will tell the story of the platform in six episodes.

Netflix is ​​producing a series to tell the story of Spotify production will be based on the book Spotify Untold, by reporters Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud, which covers the entire trajectory of the brand, from its founding in 2006.

The series will consist of six 45-minute episodes. It is produced by Norwegian Per-Olav Sørensen , who has worked on titles such as Quicksand and Christmas Boyfriend , both from Netflix.

CEO and co-founder of the platform, Daniel Ek, will be played by Edvin Endre , known for his role in Vikings . Fellow co-founder Martin Lorentzon will be played by Christian Hillborg . Names like Ulf Stenberg, Gizem Erdogan , and Joel Lützow are also confirmed.

The production will be in fictional format, meaning it will not be an exact documentary of the story with statements from those involved. The name and release date have not yet been announced, but the production is expected to arrive in 2022.
