Nervosa surprised fans this Tuesday, the 28th, by releasing the new single “Endless Ambition”.
The big news is the debut of Prika Amaral as vocalist. The guitarist and co-founder of Nervosa takes on lead vocals for the first time, shortly after the departure of former vocalist Diva Satânica .
“Endless Ambition” arrives alongside a new band lineup, featuring Prika on vocals and guitar, Helena Kotina on guitar, Hel Pyre on bass, and Michaela Naydenova on drums. Naydenova is a university-trained professor specializing in drumming.
Regarding her debut as a vocalist, Prika Amaral commented in a press release: “It was a huge challenge for me, it wasn't something I planned or expected, but after a second change of vocalist, I don't want to go through that again, so I decided to face what many people have been saying since the beginning of Nervosa (that I should be the vocalist).”
“Since I always heard from some people that I lacked technique, that the way I sang damaged my throat, I let myself be swayed by that. But after studying vocal techniques in recent months, I discovered that yes, I always had technique and I felt comfortable facing this new journey, which I am enjoying very much,” she concludes.
According to a press release, Nervosa's new album was completed recording in January, and the band promises that the project will be "revolutionary" in their career. Further information will be released soon.
