Nervosa a press conference held this Thursday, the 4th, at Galeria do Rock.
Still without a release date or title revealed, the album is expected to arrive in the first half of 2026 and its first single will be released in January. According to vocalist and founder Prika Amaral , the central theme of the project will revolve around current and everyday issues, with a special focus on how technology affects life in society.
“We brought our perspective on the modern world,” the artist commented. “About the way we are trapped and somewhat enslaved by various things that the internet provides us.”
The band also confirmed that they will be doing a series of tours in 2026 and that they intend to perform in Brazil at the end of next year.
The new album will not feature collaborations.
Responding to a question from Wikimetal , Prika Amaral revealed that the new album will not feature collaborations or special guests. According to the singer, the band realized after finishing the recordings that there wouldn't be enough time to work with other people.
“This will be Nervosa’s first album of the year without any guest appearances,” Prika reflects. “And I was also so excited about the vocal aspect that I started testing other things and we ended up saying, ‘Dude, this isn’t working. We have to deliver.’ Because it was truly crazy. We recorded this album in the middle of five tours in six months. I don’t know how. It was madness, but we managed it.”
Nervosa will perform a special 15th-anniversary show in São Paulo this Friday.
To celebrate their 15-year career, Nervosa will perform a special show at Sesc Bom Retiro in São Paulo this Friday, the 5th. Digital tickets are sold out – please check availability at the event's box office.
According to Prika, the idea is to put on a show with a chronological setlist telling the band's story, including interaction with the audience.
“At Sesc Bom Retiro, everyone is seated, so it made a lot of sense for us to do this kind of format,” explains the vocalist. “So the crowd won’t be able to get too excited, which is a shame, but I’ll be there too so we can play the songs, do a Nervosa revival, and tell the story as well.”
“There are several things I’ve never told you, you know, like how we ended up recording an album in the United States, so there are several little things that I’m going to try to bring as new information, perhaps, that the fans have never heard, and it’s going to be kind of like that, a show with stand-up, but not comedy,” he concludes.
