"Seed of Death" is the single chosen to begin promoting the fifth studio album by the band Nervosa .
The philosophical lyrics reflect on life, viewing death as a new beginning. The song features an epic intro, a first for the band, powerful vocals by Prika Amaral , a guitar solo by Helena Kotina , groovy drumming by Michaela Naydenova , and a strong, prominent bass line by Hel Pyre .
In a statement, Prika Amaral says she is “very happy” with the result of “Seed of Death” and Nervosa’s new album, Jailbreak , which will be released on September 29th. According to the founder and now vocalist , she always wanted to make a song like the new single, but never managed to “for various reasons”.
“With two guitars, doors open to a whole new world of possibilities,” explains Prika. “In fact, Nervosa started with two guitars, but then we decided to go with one guitar for logistical reasons, as it would be easier to cover costs with one less person at the beginning of the band. Now Nervosa has a much larger structure that allowed this addition, and we are really enjoying this new phase. The songwriting process for this album was the most fun and the one that brought the most musical enrichment to the band.”
Regarding the new album, Helena Kotina comments: “I think Jailbreak is the most revolutionary album for Nervosa, both musically and in terms of the meaning of the lyrics. It was a very challenging process, but at the same time a very constructive one where we were able to take care of every detail, until we achieved the best result.”
